Not much time to email today. We've got a special opportunity today to
leave the mission and go to the Jordan River temple, so that's taking up most of
the day. We even get to eat in the cafeteria :)
Bernie's baptism went AWESOME. He's been being prepared for a long time -
it just took a little friendliness to get him where he's now at. I had the
chance to do the confirmation; what a thrill (and a little bit of a scare). But
it was also cool beans.
So yep back to finding. Got lessons set up with a couple pretty promising
potentials this week so we'll see how things turn out.

thought: teaching skills
Elder Bloomfield and I have had some great, productive companionship
studies over this transfer. The thing we've probably hit most is teaching
skills, particularly asking questions, listening, and bearing testimony. We've
concluded that 90% of the lesson should be those three things, and only 10% hard
teaching.
We had the first counselor in the mission presidency stop by for our comp
study this morning. Without knowing he was doing it he solidified everything we
had taught each other and gave us the final piece to our puzzle - the 30-45
minute lesson plans in PMG. Know/memorize those statements, and those can be our
10% teaching. Everything else is questions, listening, and testimony. Kinda
cool. So get familiar with those bullets brothers!
